Teak originates from Burma, but grows widely in India, Thailand and Indonesia, especially Java. Teak is also planted in other South East Asian countries.

‌Teak wood can be confidently categorised as a "super wood" among the woods of this world and can undoubtedly be described as the most popular material for garden furniture. The wood is known for its warm colour and beautiful grain. Teak contains more natural oils and rubber than other hardwoods. This makes it more resistant to termites, acids and rot. All these properties make it durable and resistant to harsh weather conditions. Because of these properties, teak is the ideal type of wood for outdoor furniture and requires little maintenance thanks to its high density and natural oils.
